What happens if you connect your wallet to a scam Telegram bot or website?

The answer depends critically on how the connection was made:

  • If you entered your 24-word seed phrase: your wallet is compromised. Anyone with your seed phrase has full, permanent access to your funds and can withdraw everything without any approval from you. There is no way to undo this. Act immediately: create a new wallet, secure its seed phrase, and transfer all remaining assets to it as fast as possible.
  • If you connected via TON Connect: your wallet remains secure. TON Connect does not give third parties access to your wallet or control over your funds. All they can do is propose transactions — your explicit approval in Tonkeeper is required for anything to happen. However, scam sites may present misleading transaction requests that appear to do something harmless but actually send funds to the attacker. Always verify the full transaction details — particularly the recipient address and the exact amount — before tapping confirm.

How to disconnect Tonkeeper from dApps

To disconnect your wallet from apps linked via TON Connect:

  1. Go to the Browser tab in Tonkeeper.
  2. Tap Connected.
  3. Press and hold the app icon you want to disconnect for a few seconds.
  4. Tap Remove when the option appears.

Why isn't a connected app showing up in the Browser?

Some apps connected via TON Connect manage the connection on their own side and do not appear under Browser → Connected. This is normal behaviour — it depends on how the specific app handles TON Connect. If the app shows your wallet as connected, everything is functioning correctly. Disconnecting on the app's side (for example, using a "Disconnect wallet" button in the app itself) will terminate the connection.

⛔ Tonkeeper will never ask for your seed phrase. Any site, bot, or support message requesting your 24 secret words is a scam. Disconnecting from a TON Connect app does not require entering your seed phrase.
